Summer Football Challenge – FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q) Who can register to play the Shorts Summer Football Challenge?

A) Our Summer Football Challenge is open to lift professionals in the UK and Ireland. It is exclusively open to lift installation and maintenance company employees, self-employed lift engineers, and lift consultants in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Q) Can I register more than once?

A) No, our Summer Football Challenge is limited to one entry per person. The use of multiple identities, email addresses, or entries on behalf of another person is not permitted and may result in your exclusion from the Competition. For more information, please see our terms and conditions.

Q) I’ve registered but have not received my verification email. Can I still play?

A) No, all players must be verified in accordance with our terms and conditions. If your verification link has not arrived in your inbox, please check your junk mailbox or other email security platforms. We recommend adding info@shorts-lifts.co.uk to your safe senders list. If you still have issues, please contact us at info@shorts-lifts.co.uk .

Q) There are only 13 games to predict; where are the remaining 9 games?

A) Our challenge is split into 5 rounds to reflect the stages of the Euro 2024 Championship. The games for the future rounds will be available once the previous stage is complete.

Q) Do I have to predict all the available games at the same time?

A) No, our prediction system allows you to make predictions one at a time. Please remember to click “SAVE” after you’ve entered your predictions. If you choose to stagger your predictions, you must return to the prediction page and submit your predictions before the scheduled kick-off of each game.

Q) Am I able to change my prediction?

A) Yes, as long as the game has not kicked off, you can return to the prediction page and edit your prediction. Once the scheduled kickoff time has been reached, new predictions can no longer be submitted.

Q) Does the challenge include the score after extra time or penalties?

A) You are predicting the score at the end of normal play (aka 90 minutes). Extra time and penalties are not included.

Q) What happens in the event of a tie?

A) In the event of a tie, the player with the most correct score predictions will determine the winner. In the further event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a random draw.
