Did you know that 1 in 4 people can be affected by a mental health problem in their lifetime?
Throughout this year the Shorts team have participated in a few Mental Health Awareness activities. At the start of the year, our team attended a talk by Amanda Stonier from Pickerings Lifts to raise awareness about mental health and in August, our colleague Cassie performed a 15,000ft skydive for charity in honour of her niece, Sgt Lisa Bateman.
Therefore this Christmas, the Shorts Team have chosen to donate to a local charity in Bradford, The Cellar Trust.
The Cellar Trust supports people with mental health problems, across the Bradford district to move forward in their recovery and live independent, fulfilling lives.
On behalf of Shorts, Robert Sykes our Managing Director and Cassandra O’Brien our Lift Components Sales Engineer presented the donation of £3,000 to The Cellar Trust on Monday 7th December.
The amount donated will provide upto 30 people with support during their first 6 months of their new job, supporting both the individual and their employer.
