A new benchmark for the lift industry begins in May 2026
Lift Professional is proud to launch the Triplex Challenge, a new annual event that celebrates the people who keep our industry moving.
On 21 May 2026, lift professionals from across the UK will come together in the Lake District. Together, they will take part in a team-based endurance event built around teamwork, resilience, and shared achievement. From the outset, the Triplex Challenge reflects the values that define our industry. These include preparation, communication, and pride in doing things properly.
What Is the Triplex Challenge?
The Triplex Challenge is a physical and mental test designed specifically for teams of four. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District, teams complete three consecutive challenges during the day:
- A 7-mile hike across Helvellyn
- A 3-mile canoe across Ullswater Lake
- A 4-mile team carry of a weighted load
Rather than focusing on speed or competition, the event focuses on working together. As a result, communication, trust, and teamwork matter just as much as physical fitness. These are the same qualities lift professionals rely on every day.
More Than a Physical Challenge
While the Triplex Challenge pushes participants physically, it offers more than a fitness test.
Each team and each individual participant can raise funds for a charity of their choice. Because of this, everyone can support a cause that matters to them personally. As a result, every mile becomes more meaningful.
After the challenge, participants and supporters come together for a relaxed post-event celebration. Here, they can enjoy food and refreshments while reflecting on the day’s achievements.
Why We Created It
Lift Professional was created to celebrate the lift industry and the individuals who work within it. Therefore, the Triplex Challenge is a natural extension of that purpose.
