Find Santa Terms and Conditions

1. 1. Promoter: Shorts Industries Ltd (Shorts), 6 Station Road, Bradford BD1 4SF.
2. 2.Eligibility: Shorts’ Find Santa Prize Draw (“Prize Draw”) is open to people aged 18 and over who are employees of lift installation or service companies, self-employed lift engineers, or lift consultants based within the UK and Ireland (“Players”). Employees of lift companies based outside the UK and Ireland are not eligible to enter.
3. 3. Shorts reserves the right to verify the identity of players to confirm eligibility as outlined in paragraph 2 above.
4. 4. Players must complete the registration process via our sign-up page (shorts-lifts.co.uk/findsanta) before being eligible to play.
5. 5. Employees or agencies of Shorts, their family members, or anyone else connected with the Prize Draw may not enter.
6. 6. All Players entered into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
7. 7. Shorts shall use and take care of any personal information you supply as described in its Privacy Policy (shorts-lifts.co.uk/privacy-policy) and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Prize Draw, you also agree to the collection, retention, usage, and distribution of your personal information to process and contact you about your Prize Draw entry and for the purposes outlined in paragraph 22 below. Postal addresses labelled as “personal” will only be used for the dispatch of calendars or prizes and will not be added to marketing databases. Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to administer the Prize Draw. Players can opt out of future emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link within each email.
8. 8. To enter each daily Prize Draw, Players must complete the entry process by finding the entry link (“Santa”) hidden within shorts-lifts.co.uk. Clues to Santa’s location can be found within Shorts’ Advent Calendar and will also be published daily on Shorts’ social media channels. No purchase is necessary. Automated or scripted entries are not permitted. For any questions about how to enter, email info@shorts-lifts.co.uk with “Shorts Find Santa Prize Draw Request” in the subject line.
9. 9. Advent Calendars are only available to those who register for the event, while promotional stocks last, and are limited to one per person.
10. 10. Only one entry per person per day will be accepted. The use of multiple identities or email addresses, or entries on behalf of another person, is not permitted and may result in exclusion from the Prize Draw.
11. 11. Entries for the Grand Prize can be accumulated by:
    1. Submitting an entry each day (limited to one entry per day per person).
    2. Sharing your Find Santa ID Code with a colleague who registers to play and provides your Find Santa ID during registration. (The ID must be provided at the time of registration and cannot be added later.)
12. 12.Shorts accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete entries that cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of an entry is not proof of receipt by Shorts.
13. 13. The Prize Draw runs on weekdays from Monday 1st December to Friday 12th December 2025, between 08:30 and 15:00 GMT. Entries received outside these times will not be accepted.
14. 14. Winners will be chosen from a random draw of eligible entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will be performed by a random process and will take place each day between 15:00 and 17:00.
15. 15. Shorts accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with prizes not specifically included in the prize.
16. 16. Winners will be notified by email each day by 17:00 and must provide a valid postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to Shorts within 7 days of being notified, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected. If a winner rejects their prize or breaches these Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeited and another winner selected.
17. 17. Prizes will be sent to winners by post, courier, or email (as applicable).
18. 18. Shorts will make every reasonable effort to deliver Advent Calendars and prizes to all eligible entrants. However, delivery is subject to postal and courier performance, and for entrants in Ireland, to local customs regulations. Shorts cannot guarantee receipt of any items once dispatched and accepts no responsibility for delays, refusals, or losses caused by postal services, couriers, or customs authorities.
19. 19. Winners’ names and general locations will be published on our website throughout the Prize Draw at shorts-lifts.co.uk/find-santa-winners.
20. 20. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash.
21. 21. Shorts reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
22. 22. Winners will be required to participate in reasonable promotional activity related to the Prize Draw, including the use of their name, image, photograph, and words for publicity purposes (in any medium, including on Shorts’ websites and social media channels). By entering, Players consent to this use without additional compensation or prior notice.
23. 23. Shorts accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment incurred by entering the Prize Draw or accepting a prize. Shorts further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to any person’s computer or data relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading materials connected to the Prize Draw. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes Shorts’ liability for death, personal injury, or fraud resulting from its negligence.
24. 24. Shorts reserves the right to modify or discontinue this Prize Draw, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Shorts in all matters under its control is final and binding.
25. 25. Shorts shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, industrial dispute, war, civil commotion, or supervening legislation.
26. 26. The Prize Draw will be governed by English law, and entrants in the UK and Ireland submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
