Decorate Your Workspace Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter: Shorts Industries Ltd (Shorts), 6 Station Road, Bradford BD1 4SF.
2. Decorate Your Workspace (Competition) is open to people aged 18 and over who are employees of Lift Installation or Service companies, self-employed Lift Engineers or Lift Consultants based within the UK and Ireland only (Entrants) who have entered our Find Santa Prize Draw (Prize Draw). Employees of Lift Companies based outside the UK and Ireland are not eligible to enter.
3. Shorts reserves the right to verify the identity of players in relation to eligibility criteria as outlined in paragraph 2 above.
4. Entrants must complete the registration process via our sign up page (www.shorts-lifts.co.uk/findsanta) before being eligible to enter.
5. Employees or agencies of Shorts or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter.
6. All Entrants entered into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
7. Shorts shall use and take care of any personal information you supply as described in its privacy policy and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you also agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Competition entry and for the purposes outlined in paragraph 21 below. Entrants will also have the option to opt out of future mailings by clicking the unsubscribe link contained within each email.
8. Entrants must be following @shortslifts on Instagram, Facebook or @Shorts Industries Ltd on LinkedIn in order to enter.
9. Entrants must include the Shorts Santa template within the workspace decorations and emailed the details to leah.sykes@shorts-lifts.co.uk.
10. Shorts accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Shorts.
11. The opening and closing times of the Competition is 08:30 13/11/2023 to 12:00 15/12/2023 GMT. Entries received outside this time period will not be accepted.
12. The Winner will be chosen by a vote process undertaken by the staff of Shorts.
13. Shorts accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
14. The Winner will be notified by email and must have provided a valid postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to Shorts within 7 days of being notified, then the prize will be forfeited and Shorts shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 7 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Shorts shall be entitled to select another winner.
15. Prizes will be sent to the winner by post, courier or email (where applicable).
16. Winners names will be published on our website throughout the Competition at www.shorts-lifts.co.uk/find-santa-2023-winners.
17. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash.
18. Winners will be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Competition and winners shall participate in such activity on Shorts’ reasonable request. Winners consents to the use by Shorts both before and after the closing date of the Competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s words, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and video, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by Shorts) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.
19. Shorts accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the prize. Shorts further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Prize Draw. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Shorts for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
20. Shorts reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Shorts in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. Shorts shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
22. The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
